'BTS' Suga (stage name Agust D) has re-entered the main Billboard chart in the United States.
According to the latest Billboard tally (as of the 20th), Suga's first solo studio album 'D-DAY' ranked 169th on the Billboard 200, the main album chart.
'D-DAY' was released in April last year. Suga embarked on his solo career with the stage name 'Agust D.' He showcased intense rapping, shedding the group's color.
The album gained immense popularity from the global ARMY (fan club name). 'D-DAY' directly landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, tying the highest rank ever achieved by a K-pop solo artist.
This re-entry into the chart seems to be influenced by LP sales. BigHit Music decided to release the LP version this past April to commemorate the first anniversary of 'D-DAY.'
It was released sequentially by region. For Korea and Japan, shipping began on May 31. In North America and Europe, it was first introduced to buyers on the 5th.
There was also noteworthy performance on specific charts. 'D-DAY' ranked second on the Vinyl Albums chart, third on the World Albums chart, seventh on the Top Current Albums chart, and eighth on the Top Album Sales chart.
