
Stray Kids has surpassed 3 million copies in first-week sales with their new album.
On the 22nd, Stray Kids released their 4th studio album 'KARMA', which contains a total of 11 tracks, including the title song 'CEREMONY'.
According to Hanteo Chart, 'KARMA' recorded a cumulative sales figure of 3,036,360 copies in its first week. It achieved sales of over 2 million copies on the first day of release.
This is the only triple million-selling album in the first week of this year. It topped both the Hanteo Chart's 'Weekly Physical Album Chart' and Circle Chart's 'Weekly Retail Album Chart'.
Stray Kids also set records on Spotify, achieving the first, most, and longest records. 'KARMA' ranked second globally for 'Top Album Debut' (as of the 22nd to 24th). It ranked 5th in the US and 3rd in the UK.
The title track has also gained popularity among global listeners. 'CEREMONY' ranked second globally for 'Top Song Debut', as well as 2nd in the US and 7th in the UK.
The b-sides received love as well. 'Pichari' ranked 3rd, 'Creed' 4th, 'In My Head' 6th, 'Messy' 7th, 'Phoenix' 8th, 'Ghost' 9th, and 'Reversal' 10th.
'KARMA' is also the most streamed K-pop album on Spotify (on the first day). It was streamed over 18.26 million times on the day of release.
'CEREMONY' is the most streamed song among K-pop boy group releases in its first week this year. It charted on 'Daily Top Song Global' for 6 days, marking the longest stay.
Thanks to high album sales, they are aiming for a career high on the UK Official Chart. The Official Chart has predicted, "It will achieve its highest results."
They added, "Stray Kids has never entered the Official Album Chart Top 10 before. This week could be a historic moment for them."
Meanwhile, Stray Kids will release a remix digital single 'CEREMONY – Celebrate Remixes' on the 29th at 1 PM (midnight Eastern Time).
