As Baek Jong-won of Diverse Business Korea faces various controversies, the president of the pork cutlet specialty store 'Yeondon', Kim Eung-seo, who gained fame through SBS's 'Street Food', actively clarified the suspicions regarding his relationship with Baek Jong-won.

On the 18th, Kim opened his statement posted on Instagram saying, "Recently, there have been strange rumors about my relationship with Baek. I write this to address them."

Kim explained, "I saw a post saying that the profit in 2021 was significantly lower than the sales. This was due to the COVID-19 situation, which did not allow for sales increases, nor could we reduce expenditures. However, I was never upset about it."

He continued, "Afterwards, with Baek’s help, I moved to a bigger store, and currently, both sales and profit have increased significantly," emphasizing, "Our Yeondon has received significant help from Baek Jong-won both in the past and present."

Lastly, Kim reaffirmed, "Thanks to Baek Jong-won's support, I am now well settled in Jeju and living happily," dismissing recent allegations of exploitation.

The Relationship Between Baek Jong-won and Yeondon, and the Allegations Raised

'Yeondon' became famous as the 'Pobangteo Pork Cutlet House' after being introduced on the SBS show 'Street Food' featuring Baek Jong-won.

In 2019, Kim moved his store near the Debon Hotel in Jeju, and during this process, some YouTube channels and online communities raised suspicions that "Baek was using Yeondon to activate the hotel and that Kim was being exploited.”

Meanwhile, Baek Jong-won and Diverse Business Korea have been embroiled in several controversies this year, starting from the issue around the price of the Baekham gift set, along with safety management, business law violations, and agricultural land law violations.
