‘Family Plan’ has hinted at a strange story. On the 25th, Coupang Play released the second poster and main trailer for their new series ‘Family Plan’ (creator Kim Jung-min, directors Kim Gok and Kim Sun). It contains a mysterious story. ‘Family Plan’ is a black comedy.
The plot centers around a mother with a special ability to edit memories at will, joining forces with her family to deliver hell to villains. The poster’s visuals are intense. Young-soo (played by Bae Doona) and Cheol-hee (played by Ryu Seung-beom) are seen wearing white gowns stained with blood. Their expressionless faces create a bizarre atmosphere.
Various props attracted attention. The blood-stained knife and work bag held by Young-soo, and the dog in Cheol-hee’s arms, along with bloodstains splattered all around, heightened the tension.
The trailer was refreshing from the opening. The mother, Young-soo, calmly recited, “No matter what you imagined, it’ll be much more terrible, so watch carefully,” hinting at a chilling warning. There was an explanation of ‘brain hacking,’ one of the settings in the play.
A scene was captured where Cheol-hee explains, “It perfectly controls even memories,” to someone. The desperate struggle of the family unfolded. Young-soo showcased familial love, saying, “No matter how many die, nothing is more important than Ji-hoon and Ji-woo.”
Intense action scenes were also revealed. Grandfather ‘Kang-seong’ (played by Baek Yoon-sik) decorated the ending. He concluded simply yet powerfully, saying, “Didn’t we become just a bit more like a real family than yesterday?” An official stated, “Please look forward to how these five people, not sharing a drop of blood, become a family, along with the suspicious family business and unique family chemistry.”
‘Family Plan’ will be first released on the 29th at 8 PM.
