Lisa of BLACKPINK compensated nearby shop owners for the inconvenience caused by filming her new music video.

Foreign media, including the South China Morning Post, reported, "Lisa paid 20,000 baht (approximately 750,000 KRW) to nearby stores for about three hours of filming her music video and asked for their cooperation."

Earlier in May, Lisa visited Yaowarat Road in Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand. The street was completely closed from 2 AM to 5 AM for the filming of the "Rockstar" music video.

Lisa offered the shop owners 20,000 baht in compensation. This was due to the noise and inconvenience caused by the filming, which disrupted their business. This fact, once known, garnered positive reactions.

Meanwhile, Lisa released "Rockstar" on the 28th of last month. It debuted at No. 8 on the Spotify Global Chart, marking the biggest debut for a female solo K-pop artist.

The music video is also receiving a hot response after its release. Specifically, many people are flocking to Yaowarat Road, the filming location. The Thai government announced plans to use this popularity to promote tourism.

Chadchart Sittipunt, the Governor of Bangkok, said, "We thank Lisa for choosing Yaowarat as the filming location and making it a worldwide attraction," and revealed plans to make it a pedestrian-only street.
