“Someone willing to sell 4 rolls of gimbap for 5,000 won including the price of the ingredients”… an ‘absurd’ job ad posted on Carrot Market.

The job posting on Danggeun Market has sparked fierce controversy in online communities, titled "Kimbap Four Rolls for 5,000 Won."

According to reports from an online community on the 26th, a post was registered on Danggeun Market in the Ulsan region around 11 a.m. that day, asking, "Is there anyone who can pack four rolls of kimbap every morning?"

The author of the post stated, "I am looking for someone who can pack four rolls of kimbap around 7:30 every morning to leave on my door handle," adding, "I will not provide ingredients and will instead pay 5,000 won every day."

The post also included the note, "Sometimes I may need 2-3 rolls, but I will still pay the same amount of 5,000 won," and requested, "I hope many people apply, especially those who are good at cooking and can pack quality ingredients."

This job posting has caused significant controversy on secondhand trading platforms and online communities after being published. Critics mainly pointed out the unrealistic condition of offering only 5,000 won for four rolls of kimbap while not providing the ingredients.

Currently, kimbap is sold in the market for around 4,000 to 5,000 won per roll, making four rolls worth at least 16,000 won.

Particularly criticized was the author's requirement to deliver to their door handle without mentioning any additional costs.

Netizens commented critically, "5,000 won for delivery too," "Even local kimbap shops charge 5,000 won per roll, and they want it hung on their door," "I ordered chicken today, and the delivery fee alone was 5,000 won," "Such things should be reported," and "This economic sense is really peculiar."

Nonetheless, it has been reported that 12 people applied for the job. In response, netizens speculated, "It seems like they clicked the apply button just to complain," and "I think they applied thinking it was 5,000 won per roll," pointing out the unrealistic conditions of the job posting.
