SM Entertainment will launch its first British boy group. A TV series documenting their training process will also be released.
On the 12th, SM Entertainment (hereafter SM) announced, "We are launching a British boy group. Their growth process will be revealed through the public broadcaster BBC this summer."
They will be active on stages overseas, including the UK. SM has joined forces with Kakao Entertainment's North American branch and Moon & Baek (M&B). Five members from the UK were selected.
They will undergo the same training as SM trainees. The training period is 100 days. Under the supervision of director Yoon Hee-joon, they will undergo intensive lessons in vocal, dance, and life coaching.
They will be introduced through a TV series before their official debut. BBC will air 'Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience.'
It will be a six-part series. The show will depict their growth as musicians through K-pop training. The intense working process is expected to captivate viewers.
Meanwhile, SM's British boy group aims to debut in the second half of this year.
