Stray Kids has added another record as the first K-pop group to perform at a major venue in São Paulo. The group held their solo concert 'dominATE' on June 6-7 (Korean time) at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil. They were the first K-pop group to take the stage there, following iconic artists like Metallica, Madonna, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga.
This was Stray Kids' first visit to São Paulo since their debut, and they received explosive interest with all tickets sold out, leading to additional shows. A total of 120,000 fans attended the concerts.
They delivered a spectacular performance, singing hits like 'MANIAC,' 'Chk Chk Boom,' and 'Walkin On Water.' There was also a special stage where they performed unit songs from their digital single 'Mixtape: dominATE,' accompanied by fireworks.
The members expressed their gratitude, stating, "Thank you for waiting so long," and added, "Seeing you in person makes us feel the love of STAY (the fandom) even more. We are happy." They further mentioned, "We hope you felt happy listening to our songs. It was fun," and concluded, "Thank you for creating an unforgettable moment. We won’t forget this."
Stray Kids is currently in the midst of their largest world tour, having kicked off in August last year at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, with a total of 55 shows across 34 locations worldwide. They have now reached the halfway point of their Latin America performances, having passed through Santiago and Rio de Janeiro, with the tour concluding in Lima on the 9th and Mexico City on the 12th-13th.
Additionally, Stray Kids is scheduled to hold a solo concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London this coming July.
