Short Track Star Choi Min-jeong Donates 10 Million Won for Forest Fire Recovery
Short track national team member Choi Min-jeong has donated 10 million won to aid in the recovery from forest fire damage.
The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that the funds donated by Choi Min-jeong would be used for emergency living support and relief supplies for residents in the forest fire-affected areas such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.

Choi Min-jeong stated, "I want to convey my deepest sympathy to those who have suffered from the sudden forest fire, and I hope that their daily lives return to normal as soon as possible."
As a representative athlete of Korean short track, Choi Min-jeong has won a total of three gold medals at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
She also proved her skills by winning a gold medal in the 1500m event at the recent World Championships. Thanks to her outstanding performance, she has secured a spot to compete in the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics next year.

Shin Hoon, the Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude by saying, "We are deeply thankful for Choi Min-jeong's warm generosity, and we will do our utmost to ensure that her heartfelt contributions provide practical comfort and recovery support to the affected neighbors."
Hope Bridge is currently providing relief kits, partitioning for evacuation shelters, blankets, and daily necessities to the fire-hit areas, while also carrying out various on-site relief activities, including laundry support in evacuation shelters.
The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, established in 1961, is a specialized agency for disaster relief fundraising, having supported a total of 1.6 trillion won and over 60 million items in relief supplies.
Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, and recovery of local communities after disasters.
