Actor Shin Min-a reveals a new side of herself. She stands at the center of a crime thriller.
Shin Min-a will meet viewers on the 4th through the Netflix series "Evil Connection" (written and directed by Lee Il-hyung). She takes on the role of a surgeon and is one of the six individuals caught in the web of evil connections.
The lead character struggles with lifelong trauma and confronts the painful connections she never wanted to face again. This leads to a whirlwind of emotional experiences.
Anticipation is building for her transformation as an actress. She showcases an unfamiliar side that has never been seen before. By depicting her inner turmoil and the gradually intensifying anxiety, she heightens the viewer's immersion.
The solid lineup is also notable. Besides Shin Min-a, Park Hae-soo (as the witness), Lee Hee-joon (as the loan shark), Kim Sung-kyun (as Gil-ryong), Lee Kwang-soo (as the glasses man), and Gong Seung-yeon (as Yoo-jung) join forces.
Shin Min-a has portrayed various characters so far, particularly excelling in romantic comedies, showcasing her lovely charm in works like "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" and "Our Blues."
This marks her second foray into the thriller genre. In the film "Diva," she exhibited a chilling expression with a gaze filled with madness. She is set to reveal an even more distinctive side in "Evil Connection."
Her agency expressed, "Shin Min-a expands her activities beyond dramas and films to OTT platforms. Please look forward to another life-changing character that she will present."
Meanwhile, "Evil Connection" tells the story of six people entangled in malevolent connections. It will be available for streaming on Netflix starting today.
