Shin Jeong-hwan Calls for Police Investigation After Sex Trade Allegations

Broadcaster Shin Jeong-hwan has prompted a petition urging police investigations related to the allegations of sex trade in the entertainment industry.

On the 23rd, a petition titled "Urging Investigation into Prostitution Related to Celebrity Sex Trade Exposé" was submitted, requesting an investigation into the matter.

The petitioner stated, "In a video aired on the YouTube channel 'Non-Non-Non', specific allegations regarding celebrity sex trade have been exposed, leading to a complaint submitted to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for violations of the Act on the Punishment of Procuring, etc. and the Women's Safety Division is currently reviewing the relevant details."

He added, "This is not merely a personal statement but reveals a very serious issue that uncovers the practices of sexual favors that have been hidden in the entertainment industry."

Moreover, he pointed out that "the fact that this video is spreading limitlessly on YouTube without age restrictions raises serious concerns about its potentially harmful effects on adolescents."

Shocking Allegations of Celebrity Sex Trade

Earlier, on the 21st, a video released on the YouTube channel 'Non-Non-Non' featured broadcaster Shin Jeong-hwan and Kang Byeong-kyu exposing allegations of sex trade in the entertainment industry.

Kang Byeong-kyu commented, "When I was running an advertising agency, a Chinese person wanted to get connected with a celebrity they liked through me," adding, "He offered me 2 billion won and said he would send a private jet, asking me to arrange it."

Shin Jeong-hwan also mentioned, "I was with some senior colleagues in business, and they spoke without any awareness of my presence, saying 'I met someone yesterday,' even discussing the amounts. I wondered if I had misheard, but they mentioned sums like 5 million won, 10 million won, etc."

He continued, "Three people simultaneously brought up the name of one individual. They all seemed to know about it," expressing his shock at the situation.

Shin Jeong-hwan stated, "I can't even mention the name to the production team. They meet with people who do business for money, playing golf, dining, and drinking." Kang Byeong-kyu added, "There have been instances where a list and price list of these transactions were circulated."
