The appearance of surprise guest Shin Dong-bin boosts Lotte's concentration

There was a surprise guest at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium that day. The star of the show was none other than Shin Dong-bin. A Lotte official explained, "Chairman Shin visited the Jamsil Baseball Stadium to support the players, and he did not inform them in advance."

Shin Dong-bin became the owner of the Lotte team after the late Shin Kyuk-ho passed away in January 2020, and this marks his 7th visit to the baseball stadium.

The performance during his visits has been quite good. His on-site win rate stands at 0.667 (4 wins and 2 losses). With this victory, Shin's record at the baseball stadium is now 5 wins and 2 losses.

The Lotte players energized themselves in front of the owner right from the start. In the bottom of the 1st inning, lead-off hitter Jung Soo-bin's hit was beautifully handled by Yun Dong-hee, and in the top of the 2nd inning, Jeong Bo-geun and Go Seung-min both delivered key RBI hits. Lotte extended their lead to 3-0 with a timely hit from Hwang Seong-bin in the 4th inning.

Na Seung-yeop's two-run homer seals the victory… Shin Dong-bin gives a thumbs up

After allowing 2 runs to Doosan in the bottom of the 6th inning, the score tightened to 3-2, but Na Seung-yeop hit a two-run home run in the top of the 7th to regain momentum. Lotte added 3 more runs in the top of the 8th, greatly widening the score gap. Ultimately, Lotte achieved a commanding 8-2 victory. Both the performance and the result were perfect.

After the game, Shin Dong-bin gave the players enthusiastic applause. Through the team, he expressed, "I hope that all players and the front office will show their spirit to match the support from Giants fans who passionately cheer for us in every game."

Manager Kim Tae-hyung remarked, "Starter Davidson pitched well for 6 innings allowing only 2 runs, and the bullpen fulfilled their roles. Especially, Na Seung-yeop's two-run homer helped us seize the momentum," adding, "I would like to thank the owner for coming despite his busy schedule."

Na Seung-yeop shared, "The team's atmosphere is very good these days," and added, "I think it’s even more vibrant thanks to the chairman's sincere interest."

Meanwhile, Lotte will aim for their 3rd consecutive win against Doosan on the 26th, with Na Gyu-an starting against Jack Logue. The game will kick off at 2 PM due to terrestrial broadcasting.
