Singer Shawn meaningfully celebrated the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation. He led the charity marathon '815 Run.'
On the 15th, Shawn participated as a runner in the 'offline run' event for '2025 815 Run' held at the World Cup Park in Sangam, Seoul. Despite the summer heat, he completed the 81.5 km course in 7 hours, 50 minutes, and 21 seconds.
Celebrities also lent their support. Actors Im Si-wan, Choi Si-won, Yoon Se-ah, Jin Sun-kyu, Ko Han-min, Lim Se-mi, Lee Si-woo, former national soccer players Lee Young-pyo and Jo Won-hee participated as runners that day.

Park Bo-gum also joined in spirit from abroad. He is currently on a fan meeting tour 'Be With You' in Singapore. It is reported that he joined the charity marathon after the event concluded.
Shawn shared this news, posting on social media a picture with the caption, "It will be alright, Korea! Bogum has certified this." He revealed a photo showing the back of Park Bo-gum wearing a campaign T-shirt.

NewJeans' Daniel also participated in the 'offline run.' Photos of him running with the other participants circulated online. He wore a white hat and sunglasses while running with the runners.
He was also seen in a marathon snapshot, standing next to Yoon Se-ah for a group photo. Yoon Se-ah introduced Daniel as "the younger brother of Shawn, brought together by him."

The '815 Run' is a charity run event planned by Shawn and the nonprofit organization Korea Habitat for Humanity to honor the dedication and sacrifices of independence activists and support their descendants.
This year marks the 6th iteration. The marathon saw the largest participation to date. Shawn announced, "The 815 Run, which started with 3,000 participants in 2020, concluded this year with 19,450 entrants."
The achievements are also notable. "The goal was to raise 1 billion won, and we gathered 330 million won in the first year alone," he recounted, adding, "Last year we exceeded our goal and raised 1.3 billion won. This year, 2.1 billion has been gathered."
A portion of the funds raised was used for housing improvement projects for the descendants of independence activists. In April, homes numbered 18 and 19 were dedicated. Currently, the 20th to 22nd homes are under construction.
