
'SEVENTEEN' Jun was invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival.
On the 14th (Korean time), Jun attended the opening ceremony of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. His film 'The Project of Storm Chasing' was invited.
He made a notable presence in the global film market. Along with director Larry Yang, Chinese actors Yang Guo Wei, and Zhang Zi Peng, he walked the red carpet.
In a backstage interview, Jun shared, "Shooting 'The Project of Storm Chasing' was a wonderful experience," and added, "It was also a journey for me to achieve my dreams."
He expressed his gratitude, stating, "I learned a lot from Jackie Chan and Yang Guo Wei. I would like to thank director Larry Yang for making this all possible."
'The Project of Storm Chasing' is a crime investigation story. It depicts the conflict between a notorious criminal organization and the police pursuing them. It is set to be released on August 16.
Jun plays the role of Hu Feng, a member of the villainous organization. He collaborated with Jackie Chan and Yang Guo Wei, among others. The film was presented at the 78th Cannes Film Festival's Film Market last month.
He is a former child actor and gained recognition for his role in the 2006 film 'The Righteous Thief,' winning the Best Newcomer award at the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild.
That's not all. Jun also won the Popularity Award at the Asia Content Awards & Global OTT Awards during the Busan International Film Festival in 2023 for the Chinese drama 'The Poisonous Tale.'
He has consistently expanded his acting spectrum and last year, he took on a fantasy comedy historical genre, playing the lead role of Moon Ryang Jin in 'The Eighth Destiny.'
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, to which Jun belongs, released their fifth studio album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' on the 26th of last month.
