Seventeen will light up the Empire State Building in New York City, USA, in the team's official colors. Pledis Entertainment announced on the 23rd, "The Empire State Building will illuminate its lights in Seventeen's official colors (Rose Quartz and Serenity) on the 28th (local time)." This New York lighting ceremony is expected to further cement Seventeen's global stature to Carats (the fandom), as well as local citizens and tourists. It reaffirms their immense popularity.
Seventeen is also kicking off their new world tour 'RIGHT HERE WORLD TOUR IN US,' with performances at the Rosemont Allstate Arena on the 22nd and 23rd. They will continue the tour with shows in Texas, Oakland, and Los Angeles (LA) after their New York performances on the 25th and 27th. A total of 10 performances will be held, with 9 shows selling out shortly after ticket sales began.
In LA, from the 7th to the 11th of next month, they will hold the urban concert Play Park The City Project. They have combined performance content and IP with local infrastructure. This North American event marks Seventeen's first endeavor of its kind. It reflects Seventeen's expanding global influence, as offline events for local Carats, a 'Carat World,' and a 'Carat Station New York' pop-up event with Spotify are also being planned.
Seventeen recently showcased their strong album sales power with their 12th mini album 'SPILL THE FEELS,' exceeding 3.16 million copies in initial sales. It is the highest record among K-pop albums this year. They also achieved dominant results in Japan, reaching the top of the Oricon weekly album ranking for the 13th time in total. They set a new record for the most number-one placements by a foreign male or female artist on the same chart.
