Actor Seo Kang-joon returns to drama after three years. Seo Kang-joon will appear in the new MBC-TV Friday-Saturday drama ‘Undercover High School’ (written by Lim Young-bin, directed by Choi Jung-in), which will premiere next month.
This is his comeback project after being discharged from the military. ‘Undercover High School’ depicts the tumultuous adventures of a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student to find the lost gold of Emperor Gojong.
The drama is directed by Choi Jung-in, known for ‘On the Verge of Insanity’ and ‘Flower Blooming at Night’. The screenplay is penned by Lim Young-bin, who has been recognized for his writing in ‘Sketch’ and ‘Bad Prosecutor’. Seo Kang-joon plays the role of Jung Hae-seong, an ace field agent in the NIS’s domestic team.
He disguises himself as a high school student to search for Emperor Gojong’s gold. As a top NIS agent, he is cautious and always stays one step ahead, but his school life becomes hectic as he gets involved with students.
Seo Kang-joon has shown a wide acting range in various genres such as ‘Cheese in the Trap’, ‘When the Weather is Fine’, and ‘Grid’. This time, he is expected to bring variety to the drama by encompassing both action and comedy.
