Jung stated, "Having lived in Seoul Detention Center twice, I know," and added, "If you let go of everything and clear your mind, it will still be bearable. Think of it as 'my home' and reflect on yourself while wishing you good health."

Advice Based on His Experience of Being Imprisoned

Jung Cheong-rae has been imprisoned twice during his student activist days in Seoul Detention Center.

The first time was in 1988 when he served as the chairperson of the Special Committee for the Joint Olympic Games at Konkuk University and the independent peaceful unification of the homeland.
