Incheon Airport Introduces Real-Time Departure Time Notification Service
Travelers using Incheon International Airport have received delightful news. Now, they can check the time required for the departure process in advance.
On the 2nd, Incheon International Airport Corporation announced the pilot launch of the 'Estimated Time Required Notification Service by Departure Hall.'

This service provides real-time information on the expected time from entering the departure hall to security checks and immigration processing.
Incheon International Airport Corporation analyzes passenger flow through big data sensors installed within the airport, calculating and displaying the estimated time in minutes on the electronic boards located above the departure halls.
Travelers can now gauge the time needed for departure procedures in advance and manage their schedules more efficiently.
Significant Improvement in Airport Convenience
Currently, this service has been applied to Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport, with plans for expansion to Terminal 2 in the future.

Incheon International Airport Corporation has also newly introduced ‘Flight Information Display System (FIDS)’ monitors. These monitors provide information on the time required for passengers who have completed immigration checks to reach their boarding gate, based on the average walking speed of adults.
With the introduction of these new services, Incheon International Airport Corporation expects to greatly enhance passenger convenience and disperse congestion within the terminal.
This service will be particularly useful during peak seasons or holiday periods when the volume of airport users significantly increases.
Lee Hak-jae, CEO of Incheon International Airport Corporation, stated, "We will continue to promote digital innovation across airport operations and expand passenger-centered smart guidance services."
