‘S-Line’, K-Series Music Award… Second Grand Prize Award in History

The drama 'S-Line' (written and directed by Ahn Joo-young) has won a trophy at a global awards ceremony. On the 29th (Korean time), the 8th Cannes International Series Festival (CANNESERIES) announced the list of winners in the long-form competition category. 'S-Line' was honored with the Best Music award. Music director Lee Jun-oh celebrated the victory, marking his second main award after 'The Price of a Body' (2023). CannesSeries commented, "The music of 'S-Line' was very captivating. It expressed emotional connections in the story in a new and fresh way."

Director Ahn Joo-young accepted the award on behalf of the team. She expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you for inviting us to CannesSeries and for the award. I understand how meaningful this occasion is." She continued, "I am grateful to the producers and the actors, especially to music director Lee Jun-oh, for his music. We will work hard to create enjoyable and good作品." Lee Jun-oh is a member of the band Caster, active as both a singer and music director. He has worked on films such as 'Streaming,' 'Little Forest,' and dramas like 'Transaction.'

It's not just about the music. The unique worldview resonated with local audiences. A screening was held at the Lumière Grand Theatre on the 28th, which received a standing ovation. Major media outlets also took notice, praising 'S-Line' as "shockingly entertaining," "with a very intriguing atmosphere," and "a discovery of a talented director."

Meanwhile, 'S-Line' tells the story of sexual relationships marked by a red line that appears above human heads. It is set to be released within this year.
