Actor Ryu Seung-ryong introduces teacher Kim Maria.

Seong-kyung Deok, a professor at Sungshin Women's University, announced on the 17th, "In celebration of the 80th anniversary of liberation, I teamed up with Ryu Seung-ryong to unveil a video about independence activist Kim Maria."

The video has a runtime of approximately 2 minutes and 35 seconds. It was produced as part of the 'V Color Ring' service from the three major telecommunications companies and the '80th Anniversary of Liberation Donation Campaign' led by Professor Seong.

Ryu Seung-ryong provided the narration and conveyed the achievements of Kim Maria as an independence activist. He mentioned, "She secretly hid the Declaration of Independence of February 8 and brought it into the country."

Kim Maria organized the Korean Patriotic Women's Association, a secret organization for women's anti-Japanese movements. She played a role in raising military funds and delivering them to the provisional government.

Ryu Seung-ryong expressed, "I am pleased to convey the achievements of Kim Maria through my voice," adding, "I hope many netizens will watch the (Kim Maria) video."

Meanwhile, Professor Seong is actively carrying out the 80th anniversary project. In addition to Ryu Seung-ryong, Song Hye-kyo and Kim Nam-gil are also participating in promoting history.
