Actor Ryoo Seung-ryong is set for a transformation in his acting, shedding his comedic side to exude charisma. Ryoo recently starred in the film “Amazon Hwalmyeongsu” (directed by Kim Chang-ju), where he played Jin-bong, a former national archery team member, showcasing delightful humanism.

Up next, he will portray a completely different character in the Disney+ original series “Pine: Bumpkins” (directed by Kang Yoon-sung), where he will display a rough demeanor.

“Pine: Bumpkins” is based on a webtoon of the same name, starting with the premise that there is a treasure ship near the sea in Sinan. It gathers those blinded by greed. Ryoo takes on the role of Oh Gwan-seok, a character who stops at nothing if it means making money. As the leader of the group, he is on a quest to find the treasure.

In this project, he will present a restrained charisma, captured in the look that blends into the 1970s, while his chemistry with other characters is also a highlight. Meanwhile, “Pine: Bumpkins” is scheduled to be released this year.
