Actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee will not be appearing in Director Han Jae-rim’s new project.

The co-production company Showbox confirmed in a phone call with Dispatch on the 2nd, “It is true that casting was under discussion, but it was not finalized.”

The two recently announced their romantic relationship, which ended after just two weeks. According to the production company, the casting discussions for them naturally came to a halt as well.

Ryu Jun-yeol’s agency, C-JeS, stated, “It’s correct that the production company decided to halt the review. We agreed to the halt to avoid any harm to the project.”

Han So-hee’s agency, 9ato Entertainment, also reported, “It was early in the casting process, so nothing was finalized. We’ve agreed that she will not be participating in the end.”

‘Bewitched’ is a mystery historical drama based on a webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of a poor painter who encounters strange events after accepting a commission to paint a woman’s portrait.

Initially, Ryu Jun-yeol was considered for the role of the painter Yu Yi-ho, hinting at a possible reunion with Director Han Jae-rim following their previous work on ‘The King’. Han So-hee was approached for the role of Song Jung-hwa.

Meanwhile, ‘Bewitched’ is a co-production between Showbox and Director Han Jae-rim’s production company, Magnum Nine. Whether it will be released as a movie or a series is still undecided.
