Rosé achieved 200 million views with the music video for her pre-release single "Apartment." (APT.).
On the 30th, The Black Label announced, "The duet song 'Apartment.' by Rosé and Bruno Mars has reached 200 million views on YouTube." It accomplished this feat in just 11 days and 22 hours, setting the shortest record for a female K-pop solo artist.
"Apartment." was released ahead of Rosé's official comeback on December 6, 2024. It gained immense popularity right after its release, recording 100 million views in just 5 days.
It's a global music market integration. It topped domestic trending videos and trending music charts. It also reached number one on the U.S. trending chart.
Upon release, it settled at number one on the Spotify U.S. chart. It ranked first on iTunes charts in a total of 40 regions. It was also number one on China's QQ Music.
With "Apartment.," Rosé is continuously breaking career highs. She became the first female K-pop solo artist to achieve number one on U.S. Spotify and number one on the Global Spotify Top Songs chart.
It reached 100 million streams on Spotify in just seven days, the fastest among female K-pop solo artists.
She entered the U.S. Billboard and UK Official Singles Top 100 charts at number four, setting the highest ranking for a female K-pop solo artist.
That's not all. It debuted at number eight on the Billboard Main Singles Chart 'Hot 100' (as of October 29), marking another record as the highest and first for a female K-pop solo artist.
"Apartment." also ranked first on both Billboard's 'Global 200' (including the U.S.) and 'Global 200' (excluding the U.S.) charts. Notably, the 'Global 200' (including the U.S.) chart had the second-highest streaming numbers in Billboard history.
'Apartment' was inspired by the widely known Korean drinking game "Apartment Game." Rosé said, "It's a game I really enjoy. It's simple, fun, and perfect for lifting the mood."
She added, "One night, I explained the game to the staff working with me in the studio. Watching everyone enjoy it together led to the start of the song's creation. Bruno Mars joined in, completing it."
Meanwhile, Rosé's album "Rosie" will include a total of 12 tracks, featuring the title track and "Apartment." Rosé participated in writing and composing all the songs on the album, delivering more honest and intimate stories.
