Rosé has broken Psy's record. The "APT." music video has surpassed 1 billion views.
According to The Black Label, the "APT." music video reached 1 billion views on YouTube on the 31st of last month. It achieved this milestone in just 105 days since its release on October 8th of last year.
She has also surpassed Psy. Released in 2012, Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video took 158 days to exceed 1 billion views. Rosé shortened this record by 53 days after 13 years.
"APT." was released on December 6th of last year. It is a pre-release single included in Rosé's first full-length album, "Rosie." The duet with Bruno Mars sparked an explosive response upon release.
The music video features both Rosé and Bruno Mars. It surpassed 100 million views in just 5 days after release, reached 300 million views in 22 days, and surpassed 500 million views in 47 days.
The song remains at the top of international charts. It showed a climbing trend on the U.S. Billboard "HOT 100" chart and reached number 2 on the 28th of last month (local time). It has also held the number 2 spot for five consecutive weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart "TOP 100."
Meanwhile, Rosé is expected to engage in diverse musical activities in 2025.
