The documentary film featuring 'BTS' member RM has concluded its screening at the Busan International Film Festival. 'Right People, Wrong Place' held its world premiere on the 7th at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae, Busan. The production crew participated in the stage greeting on behalf of RM, who is currently serving in the military. Director Lee Seok-jun introduced the film, saying, "It captures the album-making process and RM's emotions and thoughts honestly." He added, "The film is a deep inner record of RM during the 8 months of album production and is a record of emotions that many people might have felt at least once." Assistant director Im Soo-bin expressed, "This documentary was made with a lot of affection, and I hope the audience can feel those emotions together with us."
The album producer and participant, San Yan, said, "It includes the friendship not only of Team RM but also of other musicians and staff. Personally, it is meaningful to showcase it for the first time in my hometown, Busan." Lastly, album A&R manager Jang Se-hoon expressed gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to be able to see RM's journey together with everyone and wanted to convey my congratulations." Despite the rainy weather, the audience stayed in the outdoor theater and immersed themselves in the album preparation process, delving into the intimate emotions RM experienced as both a member of BTS and as an individual, Kim Nam-joon. 'Right People, Wrong Place' is a music documentary encapsulating the production stories of RM's second solo album, 'Right Place, Wrong Person,' released last May. It was officially invited to the Open Cinema section of the 29th Busan International Film Festival. This is the first time a K-pop documentary film has had a large-scale outdoor screening at this festival. The Busan International Film Festival described 'Right People, Wrong Place' as "a story at the end of his twenties, capturing the candid voice of Kim Nam-joon as a natural person." Meanwhile, 'Right People, Wrong Place' is set for a theatrical release, with the specific timing yet to be determined.
