NCT Dream shares a fresh first love story.
On the 4th, NCT Dream introduced three tracks from their 5th full album, "Go Back To The Future." The new release includes a total of nine songs, featuring double title tracks "BTTF" and "CHILLER."
The theme of the new album is time travel. NCT Dream traverses the past, present, and future on a time machine. The songs introduced that day are set against the backdrop of the past, revisiting memories with a first love they reunited with.
"Bout You" is an acoustic pop ballad that parallels the process of a chance meeting coloring one's heart with a rain shower. Its warm and emotional melody leaves a serene echo.
"That Summer" is an easy-listening track depicting the awkward yet fresh first romance. The bright and lively New Jack Swing rhythm and tape rewind sound effects evoke nostalgia.
"Miss Me" is a retro-influenced song that blends 90s pop and R&B. It delicately portrays the moment of parting when one must leave for the future again, wrapping it in smooth EP sounds. The lyrics capture a sense of longing.
A representative stated, "NCT Dream is set to deeply color summer feelings with 'Go Back To The Future,' showcasing their own youth narrative. In the first love series, listeners can encounter a matured emotionality."
Meanwhile, NCT Dream will release "Go Back To The Future" on major music streaming sites at 6 PM on the 14th.
