Residents of the Most Expensive Apartments in South Korea Make Headlines by Establishing a Marriage Agency
Residents of Raemian Wonbeally, known as the most expensive apartments in South Korea, have garnered attention by establishing a formal marriage agency beyond mere dating events.
The group that previously facilitated meetings among residents, called “Won-gyeol-hui (Raemian Wonbeally Marriage Information Meeting),” has evolved into a marriage agency named “Wonbeally Nobility.”

According to a report by Chosun Ilbo on the 5th, members of the “Won-gyeol-hui,” primarily composed of Wonbeally residents, officially launched the marriage agency under the name “Wonbeally Nobility” last month.
Previously, they charged a membership fee of 200,000 KRW and an annual fee of 300,000 KRW to conduct group blind dates; however, they have now transitioned this into a formal business.
A company representative explained, “We decided to establish a corporation due to the increasing requests for cash receipts.”
Initially, Wonbeally Nobility faced criticism for being “their own league” because of its restrictive membership criteria that allowed only owners or residents with unmarried children to join.
However, since February, they have expanded membership eligibility to include all residents of Seocho and Gangnam districts, and they have opened the doors for residents from other areas if recommended by a Wonbeally resident.

Enhanced Marriage Information Services with Differentiated Benefits by Tier
Wonbeally Nobility has established differentiated services and pricing structures based on membership tiers.
The top-tier “Sovereign” members have their membership fee determined through individual consultations, while the next tier, “Royal Nobility” members, pay 11 million KRW for two years and can receive introductions only to professionals such as doctors and lawyers.
The intermediate tier, “Crown,” requires a membership fee of 5 million KRW and allows up to five one-on-one blind dates, while the most affordable “Silver” tier offers opportunities for group blind dates three to four times a year for 500,000 KRW.
A company representative stated, “We also plan to provide legal advisory services regarding inheritances to Sovereign members.”

They added, “In this era of ultra-low birth rates, connecting similar individuals isn’t a bad thing,” and noted that “the membership fees will only be used for employee salaries and office rental costs, while the management team will not receive salaries.”
Marriage matchmaking among apartment residents in Gangnam is gradually becoming commonplace. It is reported that two couples have successfully married through the Won-gyeol-hui.
Last month, another matchmaking group for unmarried residents called “Beautiful Connection” was formed in Tower Palace 2 in Dogok-dong, Gangnam.
This group was established to create a natural and elegant meeting space for residents from major upscale residential areas in Seoul, including Tower Palace 1, 2, and 3, Seocho-dong in Seocho District, and Apgujeong-dong in Gangnam District.
Meanwhile, according to KB Real Estate price standards on the 1st, the average price of a 84㎡ apartment in Banpo-dong Raemian Wonbeally has reached 6 billion KRW, while Tower Palace 1 in Dogok-dong has an average price of 2.925 billion KRW.
