Shin Woo-seok, CEO of Dolphin Kidnappers, claimed that he was asked by ADOR to delete works related to NewJeans. ADOR has completely denied this. CEO Shin directed music videos for NewJeans' "Ditto" and "ETA."
On the 3rd, ADOR released a statement explaining, "The 'ETA' music video director's cut posted on Dolphin Kidnappers' own SNS channel included edits that had disagreements with past advertisers."
Furthermore, the agency refuted, "It was posted without agreement from the advertiser" and "we only requested Dolphin Kidnappers to take down the said video."
They emphasized, "We have not demanded the deletion or suspension of uploads for all videos related to NewJeans on Ban Hee-soo's channel or any other. ADOR's channel operating policy has not changed."
ADOR expressed strong regret, stating, "Director Shin Woo-seok is spreading false information that ADOR demanded the deletion of all videos related to NewJeans on Ban Hee-soo's channel, etc."
Lastly, the agency requested, "We will take the best measures to ensure that the deleted NewJeans content can be uploaded on ADOR's official channel in the future."
Previously, CEO Shin said, "Due to ADOR's deletion request, all music videos and related video channels of NewJeans that we worked on and uploaded, as well as videos that were scheduled to be uploaded, can no longer be disclosed."
CEO Shin also stated, "The Dolphin Kidnappers and Ban Hee-soo YouTube channels are mainly operated to archive our portfolio. Not a single cent of profit is generated."
He declared unfeasibility of further collaboration with ADOR. "However, due to ADOR's changed stance, all videos have been deleted and cannot be disclosed. As of today, collaboration seems impossible."
Dolphin Kidnappers is a content studio. CEO Shin Woo-seok started collaboration with Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR. He was exclusively responsible for NewJeans' music videos.
CEO Shin also separately created a YouTube channel called "Ban Hee-soo." He captured the natural appearances of the members, depicting everyday scenes such as NewJeans playing around in school.
Meanwhile, on the 27th of last month, ADOR dismissed Min Hee-jin from the CEO position. Kim Joo-young, an internal director, was newly appointed as the new CEO. Min Hee-jin claimed that the content of the delegation contract for producing tasks was unfair.
