Released Side by Side, “One Win” and “Firefighters” Surpass “Moana 2” in Reservation Rate

Korean movies have ranked high in reservation rates upon their release. The films "1 Victory" (directed by Shin Yeon-shik) and "The Firefighter" (directed by Kwak Kyung-taek) were released on the 4th. According to the integrated computer network from the Korean Film Council, these films have taken the top two spots in reservation rates.

As of 8 a.m., "1 Victory" had a reservation rate of 20.4%, with 79,162 advance tickets sold. "The Firefighter" followed with an 18.6% reservation rate, attracting 72,097 viewers. They surpassed Disney's animated film "Moana 2" (directed by David Derrick Jr.). The Golden Egg Index from CGV's audience evaluations stood at 99%, indicating promising box office performance.

"1 Victory" is a volleyball movie. It tells the story of a coach who's never won, an owner who doesn't care about winning, and players who don't know how to win, all striving for a single victory.

"The Firefighter" is a true story drama based on the 2001 Hwagye-dong fire disaster in Seoul. It highlights the efforts of firefighters who did their best to perform rescues under poor conditions.
