Fear Engulfs Commuters from Random Assault
Citizens on their way to work were left in shock. On the morning of the 25th, around 7 a.m., a man in his 30s indiscriminately assaulted a woman he had never seen before near Suwon Station in Gyeonggi Province.
According to a report by MBN's 'News 7' on the 25th, the man suddenly rushed at the woman, who was standing by the roadside, while walking down the street and began throwing punches. The woman collapsed, but the man did not cease his assault.
When a citizen who witnessed the situation stepped out of their car to intervene, the man directed his punches at this citizen, knocking them down. When others from the assaulted person's group tried to intervene, the man charged at another passerby.

Assault Inside the Bus… Drunk and Violent
The man, who was apprehended by the police, was revealed to have caused a disturbance on a bus heading from Seoul to Suwon just before the incident.
One witness reported, "There was no altercation with the driver. He was causing a scene, ripping off the handrail and the cup holder, which broke."
It is known that the man was intoxicated at the time of the crime. The police have charged him with assault and are investigating the exact motive and circumstances of his actions.
Citizens are expressing extreme anxiety over the so-called 'random assault' that occurred in the middle of a busy street on their commute.
