Although President Yoon Seok-yeol lifted the martial law, the broadcasting industry remains tense. On the 4th, MBC-TV announced, “Today’s broadcast of ‘Radio Star,’ which was scheduled for 10:30 PM, will be canceled due to the airing of ‘MBC News Special Report.’”

The show ‘Village Chief Lee Jang-woo,’ which was set to air at 9 PM, has also been canceled. MBC plans to fill the time slot with ‘Special 100-Minute Debate.’ However, KBS-2TV’s entertainment program ‘The Return of Superman’ and the Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Face Me’ are scheduled to air as usual.

President Yoon declared martial law through an emergency statement at 10:25 PM on the 3rd. A martial law command was established, and a proclamation was made at 11 PM. The National Assembly convened a plenary session around 1 AM on the 4th and passed a resolution demanding the lifting of martial law.

Consequently, President Yoon lifted the martial law declaration at around 4:27 AM that day.
