
'PROMIS9E' Baek Ji-heon is making her screen acting debut.
The production company 'Studio HIM' announced on the 13th that the casting for the film 'Nerd Rhapsody' (directed by Park Jin-woo) has been confirmed. Baek Ji-heon, Ahn Ji-ho, Moon Sung-hyun, and Woo Yeon are set to appear.
'Nerd Rhapsody' is a coming-of-age romance film centered around music. It tells the story of a genius nerd pianist who challenges himself in hip-hop to win over the heart of a transfer student he falls for at first sight.
Baek Ji-heon will play the role of the transfer student Kwon Na-eun, who is the object of the protagonist's unrequited love and aspires to be a singer-songwriter. In addition to acting, she will also showcase her singing and guitar playing skills.
Ahn Ji-ho will portray the protagonist Yeom Dae-sung, a genius pianist who performs alongside her. Moon Sung-hyun will play a high school rapper named Oh Da-min, and Woo Yeon will play Dae-sung's younger sister Min-ji.
A representative stated, "Nerd Rhapsody is a youth story about expressing and understanding oneself through music, and it will resonate deeply with the audience."
Meanwhile, 'Nerd Rhapsody' has recently commenced production, with the release timing and method yet to be determined.
