Prosecutors have requested preliminary arrest warrants for YouTuber Karacula and lawyer Choi Mo, who are implicated in the blackmail and extortion case involving YouTuber Tzuyang.

On the 30th, the 5th Criminal Division of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office (Chief Prosecutor Chon Dae-won) sought the preliminary arrest warrants for lawyer Choi and YouTuber Karacula. If granted, the preliminary arrest warrant will allow suspects to be detained for a certain period without an arrest warrant issued by the court.

Karacula is known to be part of the so-called 'Cyber Rekka Union.' Prosecutors believe Karacula is suspected of abetting the extortion against YouTuber Tzuyang. Choi has been serving as the legal representative for Tzuyang’s former agency head Mr. A (deceased). He is accused of extorting about 23 million KRW from Tzuyang by threatening and disclosing her private information to Gujemyeok.

On the 25th, Tzuyang's side filed a complaint against Choi with the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office. They requested punishment for charges including blackmail and leaking business secrets. Tzuyang's side stated, "We were afraid of reprisals from Choi, who also works as a journalist, so we signed a consulting contract and paid 23 million KRW."

On the other hand, on the 11th, Tzuyang confessed through her YouTube channel about the damages she suffered from her former lover and former agency head, Mr. A. She revealed that she had been assaulted over the past four years and extorted of several hundred million KRW.

Mr. A was prosecuted by Tzuyang on charges including sexual assault, habitual assault, habitual threats, habitual injury, extortion (including attempted), coercion (including attempted), and using telecommunication devices indecently. After being prosecuted, Mr. A took his own life, resulting in the closure of the criminal case. Tzuyang’s side disclosed, "(The information) was tipped to the Rekka YouTubers by lawyer Choi, who was Mr. A's legal representative."

YouTubers Gujemyeok and Jujak Detective were arrested on the 27th on charges of blackmail, threats, and coercion. They are accused of extorting 55 million KRW under the condition of not revealing the matters between Tzuyang and Mr. A.

Jujak Detective admitted to receiving the money. On the other hand, Gujemyeok argued, "Tzuyang's side requested risk management services, so we entered into a contract."
