64% Approval Rating for President Lee Jae-myung… "Significantly Exceeds Election Vote Percentage"
President Lee Jae-myung's government approval rating has surpassed 60% just over 20 days into his tenure.
This figure exceeds his vote percentage in the early presidential election (49.42%) by more than 14 percentage points, indicating that some voters who did not support him in the election may have shifted their support.

69% of Centrists feel he is doing well… Conservatives are somewhat critical
On the 27th, Gallup Korea released the results of a survey conducted from June 24 to 26, involving 1,004 eligible voters aged 18 and older nationwide (sampling error ±3.1 percentage points, response rate 16.4%).
According to the survey, 64% of respondents stated that President Lee Jae-myung is "performing well" in his duties, while 21% stated he is "not performing well." 15% reserved their opinions.
Regionally, positive assessments outnumbered negative assessments in all areas, including Seoul, Incheon/Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Yeongnam/Honam. Among respondents who identified their political stance as 'centrist', 69% responded that he is "doing well." In contrast, among conservative respondents, negative assessments (47%) surpassed positive assessments (37%).
Reasons for the positive job performance rating included 'attention to the economy and people's livelihood' (14%), 'drive and execution' (13%), 'communication' (8%), 'appointments' (6%), and 'diplomacy' (5%).

Historically, the first job performance approval ratings for past presidents after inauguration are as follows: Roh Tae-woo 29%, Kim Young-sam 71%, Kim Dae-jung 71%, Roh Moo-hyun 60%, Lee Myung-bak 52%, Park Geun-hye 44%, Moon Jae-in 84%, Yoon Suk-yeol 52%.
Prime Minister Nominee Kim Min-seok: 43% Appropriateness… "Slight Drop After Confirmation Hearing"
When asked about the appropriateness of Prime Minister nominee Kim Min-seok, 43% responded that he is 'suitable', while 31% said he is 'not suitable'. Considering that the 'suitable' response was 49% two weeks ago, it can be interpreted that negative assessments have somewhat increased during the confirmation hearing. Nonetheless, positive responses remain in the majority.
Gallup analyzed, "There were various disputes regarding witness selection, document submission, and property formation during the confirmation hearing, but overall, the opinion of appropriateness has been maintained."
Party Approval Ratings: Democratic Party 43% vs. People Power Party 23%… Slight Decrease in Gap

The party approval ratings showed the Democratic Party at 43%, the People Power Party at 23%, both the Justice Party and the Reform Party at 4%, and the Progressive Party at 1%. The percentage of undecided voters was 24%. Two weeks prior, the Democratic Party was at 46% and the People Power Party at 21%.
Gallup stated, "Since President Lee Jae-myung's inauguration has led to the Democratic Party becoming the ruling party, its approval rating has undergone some adjustments, and the rapid fluctuations in approval ratings between the ruling and opposition parties immediately after the new government is a phenomenon that has been repeated in past administrations."
