Lee Su-jeong Professor Gives Positive Assessment of Won Min-kyung, Ministerial Candidate for the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family
Lee Su-jeong, a professor of criminal psychology at Gyeonggi University and the chairman of the People Power Party’s Suwon City chapter, has offered a positive evaluation of Won Min-kyung, the candidate for the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.
On the 14th, Professor Lee expressed rare support for President Lee Jae-myung's ministerial appointment through her social media, stating, "I welcome the appointment of the Minister of Gender Equality and Family."

Professor Lee described candidate Won as "a dedicated lawyer who has supported crime victims for a long time," explaining her reasons for support. She particularly emphasized her hopes that Won would seek alternatives for false accusation cases and urged her to implement good policies from a gender equality perspective.

Expertise and Career in Women's Rights of Ministerial Candidate Won Min-kyung
Won Min-kyung, the candidate for the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, graduated from Yonsei University Law School in 1990 and passed the 40th National Judicial Examination in 1998, completing the Judicial Research and Training Institute's 30th session.

Since then, she has served as the chair of the Women’s Rights Committee for the Lawyers for a Democratic Society (Minbyun) and has been actively involved in the Women's Rights movement, including joint task force member for the Telegram Sexual Exploitation Incident (Nth Room) and a member of the Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Committee of the Legislation Office.
Currently, candidate Won is also serving as a non-standing member of the National Human Rights Commission and as a director of the Korean Women’s Hotline. Expectations are rising for her role as the head of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family based on her expertise and experience.
