President Yoon Seok-yeol to Create a 'Presidential Watch'

President Yoon Seok-yeol stated, "After listening to various suggestions, I have concluded that a gift that encompasses both meaning and practicality would be suitable, so I have instructed the production of a cost-effective presidential watch."

On the 10th, President Yoon mentioned via his Facebook that, "It seems there has been some misunderstanding as only part of the information regarding the presidential watch has been reported by the media, so I would like to clarify."

Earlier, on the 7th, it was reported that during a dinner with former and current Democratic Party officials, President Yoon laughed off a question regarding a commemorative watch, saying, "What need is there for such a thing?"

Subsequently, on the 9th, Democratic Party Supreme Council member Jeon Hyun-hee appeared on 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' and introduced the related content, stating, "It seems that there was a sentiment of not wanting to waste the budget."

As this information became public, reports emerged suggesting that President Yoon would not be producing a 'presidential watch,' prompting him to correct that notion.

President Yoon stated, "Many people have expressed their disappointment, saying that among the gifts for the president, a watch provides the most significant value for the cost."

He added, "Since it carries the symbolic representation of the Republic of Korea, I will prepare it meticulously to match that significance. I want it to be a gift that everyone can take pride in," and remarked, "You can look forward to it^^."
