A woman in her 20s who collapsed suddenly at the underground shopping center of Bupyeong Station in Incheon was saved thanks to the quick cooperation of a police officer on leave, a pharmacist, and a nurse. Their immediate first aid actions became a decisive moment in saving a life.
**Immediate Emergency Response**
Around 12:20 PM on the 21st, Ms. A, a woman in her 20s passing through the underground shopping center, suddenly collapsed and showed signs of convulsions.

At that time, Officer Park Min-ji (33), who was on her way to a friend's wedding, witnessed the incident.
Officer Park, who was on parental leave, immediately approached Ms. A and attempted to communicate, during which she identified the crucial information that Ms. A was suffering from hypoglycemia.
Thanks to her experience in rescue and first aid activities during her time working at the police station, as well as her regular study of first aid methods, Officer Park was able to quickly assess the situation.
**Swift Cooperation Among Professionals**
Officer Park immediately explained the situation to the pharmacist in front of a nearby drugstore and requested a drink containing sugar.

She helped Ms. A regain consciousness by giving her the drink in small quantities.
At the same time, she asked nearby female bystanders to provide massages to assist with blood circulation.
Fortunately, there was a nurse at the scene. With the nurse's professional assistance, Officer Park was able to perform more specialized emergency measures, such as securing the airway and providing additional massages. About 10 minutes after the report from the station staff, the 119 emergency response team arrived and transported Ms. A to the hospital, where she is reported to have recovered her health.
"I have usually studied response methods for various emergency situations through videos, so I feel proud to have been able to apply them in real life," Officer Park shared her thoughts.
