Starting from 9 AM on the 3rd, ahead of the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol, the police declared a 'Eul-ho Emergency' in Seoul.

The 'Eul-ho Emergency' is the second-highest level of emergency work, declared when there is a significant disturbance to public order due to large-scale group incidents, terrorism, or disasters, or when signs of such occurrences are anticipated. Annual leave is suspended, and commanders and staff must be stationed at their posts. Up to 50% of available personnel can be mobilized.

On the day of the ruling, scheduled for the 4th, a 'Gap-ho Emergency' will be declared nationwide. The Gap-ho Emergency is the highest level of emergency work, during which annual leave for police officers is suspended, and 100% of available personnel can be mobilized for emergency duty.

Additionally, the police will deploy approximately 14,000 personnel from about 210 mobile police units nationwide on the ruling day, as well as 30 members of the special police unit to prepare for potential terrorism or drone attacks. The area around the Constitutional Court will be kept in a vacuum state, and a preemptive blockade line will be established between pro- and anti-impeachment groups to prevent clashes.
