EXO's Kai raises the anticipation for his comeback.
Kai will release his 4th mini-album "Wait On Me" on the 21st. The new album contains a total of 7 tracks and is his first album in about two years since his discharge from the military.
On the 3rd at 6 PM, he will pre-release the track "Adult Swim" on major music platforms. "Adult Swim" is an upbeat pop song characterized by its simple yet energetic drum loop.
The lyrics metaphorically depict the emotions of deeply falling in love, likening it to two people swimming fearlessly together beneath the surface. The overall atmosphere of the song is both languid and cheerful.
Kai described it by saying, "If the verses feel like enjoying a leisurely swim in clear water, the chorus takes a dramatic turn, giving the feeling of gradually sinking into a concentrated liquid."
He added, "Although it is clearly one song, I hope listeners enjoy it as if they are diving from different places, experiencing two distinct feelings."
This performance is a collaboration with Bada-ri and Jayric, who have previously shown great chemistry with Kai, along with Bata from "We Dem Boyz." Movements reminiscent of swimming, diving, and waves have been incorporated.
The process of falling in love can be seen through diverse formations, including solo dance, partner choreography, and large group performances. Kai will unveil this stage for the first time today on Mnet’s “M Countdown.”
Choreographer Bada-ri will provide support and is expected to present the partnered choreography. Various teaser content and showcases will follow for multi-promotion.
Meanwhile, Kai will launch the "2025 Kai Solo Concert Tour" starting with performances in Seoul on the 17th and 18th of next month, covering 10 regions across Asia.
