Play bebe has entered Melon's 'Hall of Fame' with their debut single in Japan. This is the first achievement for a Japanese song.

On the 16th, Play bebe released their first digital single in Japan, titled 'Kakurenbo' (かくれんぼ). The song surpassed 2.7 million streams in total on its first day of release.

They entered Melon's 'Hall of Fame,' a prestigious honor given to albums that exceed 1 million streams within 24 hours of release. This proves their overwhelming popularity in the local market.

The 'Kakurenbo' single includes a total of three tracks: the titular song, the Japanese version of 'Riz,' and the Japanese version of 'Chroma Drift.'

While the other tracks feature existing songs translated into Japanese, 'Kakurenbo' is an original Japanese song. Play bebe has reinterpreted the band sound in a Japanese style.

The music video maximizes the emotional impact of the original song. It delicately portrays the shining moments and intersections of youth, evoking nostalgia as it traverses between reality and fantasy.

Detailed elements are featured throughout, with scenes depicting the summer landscape of Japan, alongside trams, tunnels, and coin laundries as backgrounds. This enhances the immersion into the song.

Meanwhile, Play bebe will kick off their first Asia tour, 'DASH: Quantum Leap,' at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Seoul from August 15 to 17.
