‘Pilot’ Debuts at No. 1 on Opening Day… Surpasses 370,000 in Total Viewers

The movie "Pilot" (directed by Kim Hankyul) has launched a box office hit. It ranked first on its opening day.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing network, "Pilot" attracted 373,557 viewers on its opening day, the 31st. The cumulative number of viewers is 425,088.

Future box office success is also anticipated. As of 8:30 a.m. on the 1st, "Pilot" holds a real-time reservation rate of 31.4%, ranking first. It has already secured about 150,000 viewers.

"Pilot" is a comedy film. The main character is star pilot "Han Jeong-woo" (played by Jo Jung-suk). The story unfolds as he successfully re-enters employment after suddenly losing his job.

This film marks Jo Jung-suk's return to the big screen after five years since "Exit." To find re-employment, he dresses as a woman. His trademark witty acting brings laughter to the audience.

The chemistry with fellow actors is also notable. Jo Jung-suk shows a close friend dynamic with Lee Ju-myung (as Yoon Seul-gi) and a bickering sibling vibe with Han Sun-hwa (as Han Jeong-mi). He has a humorous rivalry with Shin Seung-ho (as Seo Hyun-seok).
