The movie 'Breaking' (Directed by Min Kyu-dong) will meet audiences a day earlier.

A representative from the distributor 'NEW' announced on the 1st that the release date for 'Breaking' has been moved up. Originally scheduled for release on May 1 in domestic theaters, it has been moved to the 30th, one day earlier.

This decision is aimed at securing a larger audience. The 30th is the last Wednesday of the month, which is a Culture Day, and ticket prices at major theaters nationwide will be discounted.

The film aims to maintain its box office momentum through the Golden Week in May, which includes Labor Day (May 1), Children's Day (May 5), and a substitute holiday (May 6).

'Breaking' is based on a novel of the same name. The story portrays a legendary killer, Jock (played by Lee Hye-young), facing off against a mysterious killer, Toro (played by Kim Sung-cheol).

The film has received numerous invitations from various film festivals, including the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, the 43rd Brussels Fantastic Film Festival, and the 15th Beijing International Film Festival.
