Actor Park Jung-min recently donated an audiobook to a disability organization. The Korea Disability Foundation announced on the 23rd that "Park Jung-min donated the listening novel 'First Summer, Wanju,' produced by the publishing house 'Mujae,' in celebration of World Book Day."
'First Summer, Wanju' is a new work written by novelist Kim Geum-hee. It tells the story of the protagonist Yeolmae, who undergoes changes after visiting her close friend’s hometown, Wanju.
This book is the first product of the listening novel project, which altered the traditional publishing process. It was produced as an audiobook before the printed version was released.
The foundation will deliver the 'First Summer, Wanju' audiobook to over 40 disability libraries nationwide. Actors Go Min-si, Kim Do-hoon, and Yeom Jung-ah participated in the recording.
Park Jung-min stated, "Mujae will continue the 'listening novel' project to enhance access to books for visually impaired individuals."
Meanwhile, 'Mujae' is a publishing house established by Park Jung-min in 2019, operating under the motto of thoughtfully observing a small world.
