Actor Park Jung-min and 'BLACKPINK' Jisoo will meet in a zombie series.

The content production company Billions Plus announced on the 7th, "We are producing a new Coupang Play series called 'Newtopia.' Park Jung-min and Jisoo will take on the lead roles."

'Newtopia' is a post-apocalyptic fantasy romance. It is set in the heart of Seoul, which has been attacked by zombies. The story revolves around a soldier who fights through zombies to reach his girlfriend.

Park Jung-min will play the role of Jae-yoon, a late-blooming soldier who encounters the zombie crisis during his military service. Jisoo will portray Young-joo, Jae-yoon's girlfriend, who waits for his discharge.

A team of talented creators has collaborated on this series. Director Yoon Sung-hyun of the film 'Bleak Night' will be directing, and writers Han Jin-won and Ji Ho-jin, who wrote 'Parasite,' have penned the script.

Meanwhile, 'Newtopia' will premiere on Coupang Play next year.
