
Actor Park Ji-hoon takes on the role of a dethroned king. YY Entertainment announced on the 28th that "Park Ji-hoon has been confirmed to appear in the film 'The Man Who Lives With the King' (working title)." In the film, Park Ji-hoon will act alongside Yoo Hae-jin, Yoo Ji-tae, and Lee Jun-hyuk.
'The Man Who Lives With the King' is the latest work of director Jang Hang-jun, and also his first historical drama. Director Jang has previously worked on films such as 'Turn on the Light', 'Night of Memory', and 'Rebound'.
Park Ji-hoon will play the role of a king who has been exiled to a remote mountain village. It's a significant role that forms a major part of the drama. Park Ji-hoon shared, "I am honored to work with highly respected senior actors in such a great project."
He added, "I am excited and looking forward to the historical drama that Director Jang Hang-jun will present. I will do my best to learn a lot from the director and various senior actors to create a good piece of work."
Park Ji-hoon initially gained recognition as a singer, debuting in 2017 with the group Wanna One. He later built his filmography as an actor in dramas such as 'Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency', 'Love Revolution', and 'At a Distance, Spring is Green'.
In particular, he left an impression with the Wavve series 'Weak Hero Class 1'. This year, he has expanded his activities into films, recently appearing in 'The World’s Most Beautiful Audrey'.
