JTBC's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The Girl Who Plays Around' concluded on the 1st. Park Jae-chan played the role of Lee Dong-hee, showcasing a unique presence. He also boasted an improved acting performance.
Lee Dong-hee is the youngest employee at the meat processing company 'Thirsty Deer,' known for being sincere and gentle but harboring many secrets. Park Jae-chan meticulously portrayed the anxious inner world of a character with a painful past.
Park Jae-chan shared his thoughts, saying, "There was pressure and worry because it was my first attempt at a serious drama. As the filming progressed, I had so much fun and was happy, learning a lot in the process."
He continued, "I'm extremely grateful to the viewers and the directors and staff who filmed so beautifully. I will always strive to show even better acting in the future."
What did he focus on the most while acting? "Until Dong-hee's secret was revealed, I had to make sure he didn't come across as a character with a secret, so I tried to act as naturally as possible," he replied.
What does 'The Girl Who Plays Around' mean to Park Jae-chan? He said, "A new beginning," and added, "Being with amazing seniors allowed me to start well and grow further."
This work earned him the title of 'growing actor.' He said, "I think I'm still lacking in many areas, but I also feel proud and think I've grown a bit myself."
His next project is the comedy historical drama 'Check-in Hanyang,' set in the Joseon Dynasty. It tells the turbulent story of youth joining the inn 'Yongcheonlu.'
Jae-chan will play the role of Go Soo-ra, a young man from Hanyang who can't ignore injustice and is filled with a sense of righteousness. He is realistic but dreams of freedom more than anyone else.
Jae-chan asked for anticipation, saying, "Please focus on Go Soo-ra's passionate and spirited appearance, and his cute aspect as he gradually opens up to his friends and feels friendship."
