Actor Park Bo-gum is making a hot return.
The production team of JTBC's new weekend drama 'Good Boy' (written by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon) unveiled a teaser poster on the 29th, hinting at a completely different look for Park Bo-gum.
He portrays Yoon Dong-joo, a rookie police officer from the strong special forces and a former national boxing athlete. He became a police officer through a special recruitment program for medalists. He stands firm, ready to fight against injustice.
In every sense, it’s a dramatic transformation. The image shows blood streaming down his face, a clenched fist wrapped in bandages, bulging veins on his neck, and eyes burning with intensity, drawing attention.
Park Bo-gum underwent rigorous training to become Dong-joo. He revealed that he "engaged in strength training for an hour daily and boxing training for two hours for more than six months."
It wasn't just about physical appearance; his mindset also embodied that of Dong-joo. He added, "I approached this role with the thought of protecting those with healthy minds."
The production team explained, "'Good Boy' is a story about young people standing in front of the wall of reality. It visually compresses Dong-joo's instincts and emotions."
Regarding Park Bo-gum, they expressed confidence, stating, "We guarantee a new side of Park Bo-gum that has never been seen before," and added, "Please look forward to his passionate youth energy."
'Good Boy' is a comedic action investigation drama that depicts the journey of medalists who become police officers as they confront the world. It will premiere on the 31st of next month.
