Ozzy Osbourne, the godfather of British heavy metal, has passed away at the age of 76.

On the 23rd (Korean time), CNN reported that "Ozzy Osbourne passed away in Birmingham the previous morning." The cause of death has not been disclosed.

His family released an official statement, expressing deep sadness and sorrow at the news of his passing on the 22nd. They added, "In his final moments, he was surrounded by family and loved ones. We ask that you respect the privacy of the remaining family."

Famous personalities also expressed their condolences. Former England national football player David Beckham stated, "It's sad that he has left us. Thank you for all the joy you brought."

Shabana Mahmood, the UK's Minister of Justice, remarked, "Ozzy Osbourne was a gift from Birmingham to the world. I extend my condolences to his family."

Former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan reflected, "He was one of the greatest rock stars and a wonderful person. He was one of the funniest people I knew."

Ozzy Osbourne formed the band Black Sabbath in 1968, and two years later, they opened the origins of heavy metal with their self-titled debut album in 1970. He was referred to as the "Prince of Darkness," influencing rock history with his dark and gloomy music. Particularly, the second album "Paranoid" is regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time.

He was expelled from the band in 1979 due to issues with alcohol and drug abuse. However, he made a successful comeback the following year with an album that became a massive hit.

Until just before his death, he maintained his passion for music. Ozzy Osbourne held the "Back to the Beginning" concert at Villa Park in Birmingham on the 6th, reuniting with Black Sabbath members after nearly 20 years, including bassist Geezer Butler, drummer Bill Ward, and guitarist Tony Iommi.
