“On the Day of the Formal Meeting, Collapsed Father”… Lee Dong-hwi to Appear in ‘Will You Marry?’

Actor Lee Dong-hwi brings a realistic dilemma to the theaters. The film 'Will You Marry?' (directed by Kim Jin-tae) revealed its main poster on the 8th. Protagonist Sun-woo (played by Lee Dong-hwi) is captured standing, looking at the snowy sky. His complex emotions are evident, contrasting with the white snow. The phrase "A reality disaster growing like a snowball, do we have a future?" adds to the somber mood.

'Will You Marry?' is a livelihood comedy. It tells the story of Sun-woo, who struggles to cover the medical expenses of his father, who collapsed with a cerebral hemorrhage, right before his marriage to his girlfriend.

Lee Dong-hwi plays the role of Sun-woo, a part-time university lecturer aspiring to become an architect. He faces the hurdle of massive medical bills while diligently working towards his future.

Han Ji-eun plays Woo-jung, Sun-woo’s fiancée. After a long relationship, they promised to get married, but Sun-woo faces a crisis, leading to another reality disaster.

Additionally, Kang Shin-il plays Cheol-gu, the father who collapses on the day of the formal meeting between families. Cha Mi-kyung plays Mi-ja, the mother who, despite the divorce, cannot ignore Cheol-gu's situation.

The film received critical acclaim before its release. 'Will You Marry?' was invited to the Korean Cinema section of the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival. It was praised for its detailed depiction of a disaster situation.

An official stated, "The difficult situation faced by the family is not portrayed only in a dark light. The delicate handling of life's joys and sorrows will resonate with all generations."

Meanwhile, 'Will You Marry?' is set to be released on the 23rd.
