Actors Seohyun and Ok Taecyeon meet in a romance fantasy. The new KBS-2TV drama ‘I Stole the Male Lead’s First Night’ (written by Jeon Sun-young, directed by Lee Eung-hee) has been scheduled to air on the 28th. The cast includes Seohyun, Ok Taecyeon, Kwon Han-sol, Seo Beom-jun, and Ji Hye-won.
‘I Stole the Male Lead’s First Night’ is a romance fantasy. It tells the story of a mundane female college student’s soul entering a supporting character in a romance novel, who ends up spending a night with the most obsessive male lead. Seohyun plays the role of ‘Cha Seon-chek.’
Although she’s a minor character with no part in the novel, she is a wealthy and noble person in her time. Her dream was to live a smooth life. Suddenly, the soul of a female college student named K inhabits her body. She unintentionally spends a night with the male protagonist, shaking up the entire story.
Ok Taecyeon plays the role of ‘Gyeongseong Gun Yi-beon,’ the male lead in the novel. Yi-beon is the most cold-hearted and handsome man of his era, favored by the king. He is also skilled in martial arts. However, he hides the wounds of a painful past behind rampant rumors. Despite his icy demeanor, he is straightforward and gives his all to his beloved woman.
Kwon Han-sol takes on the role of the female lead ‘Jo Eun-ae’ in the novel. Jo Eun-ae is the adopted daughter of a wealthy merchant. Originally, she was supposed to end up with Yi-beon against all odds, but her fate is altered by the appearance of Cha Seon-chek. Seo Beom-jun transforms into the sub-male lead ‘Jung Su-gyeom.’
Jung Su-gyeom is a young official from a noble family and Yi-beon’s only friend. He forms a pitiful love triangle with the main characters in the novel. Unlike Yi-beon, he exudes a different charm, causing second-lead syndrome. Ji Hye-won plays the role of ‘Do Hwa-seon,’ the villainess of the era.
Do Hwa-seon aims to marry Yi-beon and become part of the royal family. She forms a fateful rivalry with the female protagonist. The production team asks viewers to look forward to a delightful and lively romance featuring a 21st-century college student mixed up with a group of young men and women, each with unique personalities, caught in the middle of their love interests.
